Mount St Bernard Trappist Brewery
Based in Leicestershire, Mount St Bernard Trappist Brewery produces Tynt Meadow – the first English Trappist ale.
The project focused on developing a distinct brand identity for the brewery itself, building on the existing bottle design while creating a cohesive visual language that could extend across print and digital applications.
The Approach
The existing Tynt Meadow bottle and packaging provided a strong and recognisable starting point, with its distinctive label and traditional character. The aim was to evolve these elements into a broader brand identity that respected the heritage of the product while giving the brewery a clear and consistent presence in its own right.
The visual approach balanced simplicity and restraint with a contemporary edge, drawing on the quiet, monastic setting of the abbey while ensuring the brand remained confident and legible across modern touchpoints.
The identity was designed to scale, supporting the introduction of additional products – including Tynt Meadow Blond – while maintaining a consistent and recognisable look across packaging, printed materials and digital platforms.
Outcome
The result is a cohesive brand identity that builds on the character of Tynt Meadow, establishing Mount St Bernard Abbey Brewery as a distinct and recognisable brand across both physical and digital applications.
